(1) In case of death of the victim or his next of kin within one year from the date of notification of such decision after the final decision regarding compensation to the victim, to receive the amount of compensation before the chief district officer of the district where the victim is detained. The application must be submitted with a copy of the decision from the district court.
(2) The chief district officer shall give the amount of compensation to the applicant within thirty-five days from the date of receipt of the application as per sub-section (1).
(3) If the application is not submitted within the period as per sub-section (1), the amount of compensation will not be received.
